Introduction

e-Gate/Global Entry（GE） is a partner program between the National Immigration Agency, Taiwan (e-Gate) and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (Global Entry) to facilitate travel. Under the e-Gate/GE program, eligible travelers can expedite their immigration clearance service without lining up at ports of entry. e-Gate members can use e-Gate at the following ports in Taiwan:

1. Taipei Songsang Airport
2. Taoyuan International Airport
3. Taichung International Airport
4. Kaohsiung International Airport
5. Kinmen Shueitou Port

Eligibility

Applicants (U.S. Citizens ONLY) should have valid GE membership and satisfy the following criteria:

1. 14 years old and above;
2. at least 140 cm tall;

Applicants may not qualify for e-Gate participation if they:

1. Provide false or incomplete information on the application;
2. Have been convicted of any criminal offense or have pending criminal charges, including outstanding warrants;
3. Have been found in violation of any customs, immigration or agriculture regulations or laws in any country;
4. Are subjects of an investigation by any law enforcement agency;
5. Are inadmissible under Taiwan immigration regulations; or if they cannot satisfy NIA of their low-risk status or other requirements.

Enrollment

New Membership Application Process:

1. Apply online: Complete online application on e-Gate Enrollment System and pay the NTD$3,000 non-refundable application fee.
2. Schedule an interview: Once your application is reviewed, you will receive an e-mail from NIA instructing you to schedule an interview at Taoyuan International Airport.
   Note: You should complete the interview within 180 days from the date you receive the NIA approval letter.
3. Attend the Interview: Bring your valid passport and Global Entry card for interview. A NIA officer will conduct the interview to determine your eligibility. After your application is approved, a NIA officer will take your photo, and collect your fingerprints. Once your enrollment is completed, you can use e-Gate immediately.

      Operation Hours: Daily: 05:00~23:00

Note: NIA will not issue physical membership cards to e-Gate members.

Renew e-Gate Membership Application Process:
e-Gate members can renew their membership 3 months prior to the expiration date. Please follow these steps to renew e-Gate membership:

1. Log into e-Gate Enrollment System and select Renew Membership.
2. Complete and confirm your personal information before you pay the NTD$3,000 non-refundable fee.
3. NIA will review your application and notify you the result via e-mail.
